Q:What are the goals of the Euro program?

A:

At the end of the program, you will walk away with four things:

● A stronger appreciation for Torah and Jewish history
● A deeper connection to the Land of Israel
● A love for every Jew
● An understanding of your role in Klal Yisrael

Q:What is the learning like on Euro?

A:

The learning during the summer is done in both a formal and informal manner.
Rabbi Akiva Neiman has designed an interactive learning program that each day will feature thoughtful and insightful chaburahs where you will be able to learn with your advisors and peers about various topics that will enable your Torah growth. Additionally, as you go from city to city you will learn the rich history and significance of where you are.  There will also be volunteer learning as well as shiurim given to the participants by Rabbi Neiman.

Q:What does Euro do in Israel?

A:

While in Israel, participants visit popular and historical sites including Masada, Ein Gedi and the Mediterranean Sea. They also enjoy surfing, hiking, rafting, zip-lining, rappelling and more!

Q:Where does Euro go in Europe?

A:

Euro 2018 we will be traveling to the Netherlands, Slovenia and Italy to experience their rich Jewish culture. Teens will explore Amsterdam, Florence, Spend Shabbat on the island of Venice, climb the steps of the Roman Coliseum and much more. The trip concludes with two weeks in Israel.

Q:Who attends Euro?

A:

Euro is a coed program with participants from yeshiva day schools as well as public schools from around the United States and Canada.

Q:How long is Euro?

A:

Euro is a four-week program that spends 2 weeks in Europe and the remaining time touring Israel.

Q:Are there scholarships for Euro?

A:

Financial aid is available from the National NCSY office. Scholarships are need-based and given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. To be considered for financial assistance, you must fill out the online application and submit your most recent tax return.

Q:If I went on Euro last summer, can I still go back?

A:

Yes. Euro creates a new itinerary with original programming every summer. You can be sure that if you come back, you’ll learn just as much as you did the first year.

Q:What are the accommodations like?

A:

Throughout the summer, you will be put up in various hotels. All hotels provide bedding, towels, shampoo and bodywash.

Q:What is the food like in Europe?

A:

Delicious! And you get to taste the unique cuisine of each city you travel to.
