Noah Marlowe: Europe experience!
Today we had a very late wake up, 6 o’clock. The night before we had packed up our stuff, as we unfortunately had to leave beautiful Venice. We had explored the incredible islands of Murano, where their world famous Italian glass is blown, and Burano, the home to the most fluorescent colored homes. There is no way to describe Shabbos in Venice. We had Friday night dinner overseeing the age old canals of Venice, and closed out Shabbat with a joy-filled havdalah in the Jewish ghetto. We were all sad to go. Since the streets of Venice are not big enough for cars, we had to take a train back to mainland Italy in order to drive to Slovenia. The girls enjoyed as the gentlemen lifted and carried their bags through the train station. When we arrived back to the bus we had a four hour ride ahead of us. Our first stop once we reached Slovenia was the stalactite caves. It was 45 minutes of complete bliss, wait sorry I meant the 45 minutes of sleep I was getting during the tour! (Just joking mom!) After the tour we got back on the bus and headed to white water rafting. The mountains of Slovenia are one of the worlds most majestic sights. The water was not only crystal clear, but is also one of the cleanest water sources in the world. At one stop on the river we all got out of our rafts and swam in a small stream, also enjoying the delicious water. Following the rafting we checked into the hotel and had a delicious dinner brought all the way from Croatia.
