Dear NCSY Euro Ice Parents,
After an incredible past two days in Florence, we headed off to Rome. We had a brief stop in Pisa, where the kids got to climb the leaning tower. At the top they saw great vistas and the city of Pisa. They had free time to walk around and then we headed back to the bus for our drive to Livorno. Once we got there the boys and girls had time to swim and relax on the beach before we finished our drive to Rome. We arrived in Rome and had a delicious meal at La Taverna del Ghetto. We headed back to our hotel to get a good nights rest.
Today, we spent our morning at Gladiator for the Day. They learned about the history of the Ancient Roman warfare with strategy. The kids practiced and learned the skills needed when handling a sword and shield.
Afterwards, we took all the kids to kosher gelato! The kids loved it and I was happy to sponsor.
We then went for lunch at La Taverna del Ghetto, had a tour of the famous Colosseum, the arch of Titus and the Roman Forum.
We are all safe and sound and the kids are having a great time.
We are getting excited for an incredible Shabbat in Rome.
