Dear NCSY EURO ICE parents, We've had an incredible past couple days here on NCSY EURO ICE. We started off the week by leaving Kibbutz Lavi and traveling south to Kfar Kedem, where we experienced life in the Mishnaic times and rode donkeys. We continued to Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea, and ended off the night in the Bedouin tents. There we had a shiur about constellations in Judaism, and proceeded on a stargazing walk in the desert. The next day we woke up early in the morning to climb Masada, where we davened, learned about the history of the location and watched the sun rise. We enjoyed camel riding and then visited Sderot and discussed how the inhabitants of that area in Israel are under constant fear of attack while also proudly populating the land of Israel. We then arrived at our Kibbutz Ein Tzurim, where we would stay for the next few days. We have journeyed throughout Europe and Israel, and yesterday we finally reached the holiest location of them all, Yerushalayim. We spent the day at Aish HaTorah, right across from the Western Wall, where we experienced the Aish Discovery program and learned Torah in the holiest place in the world. We then davened at the Kotel, explored the Jewish quarter, and returned to the Kibbutz for an ice cream celebration. It was an incredible day and a true high point of our trip! As we approach the end of the trip, we are looking forward to spending time in and around Jerusalem and reaching new heights. Best wishes, Rabbi Israel Lashak Director, NCSY EURO ICE
